Happy Teether

Danilo is starting to shove his hands in his mouth because he is teething. Right now he is a very happy teether, hope that it stays that way :)

Oh, Danilo

Danilo has been trying to copy the sounds and noises that we make. His new thing this week is making noises with his lips, he loves it! It does it at home, at daycare, and especially to Dario.

Go Clemson!

The whole family sat down to watch the Clemson Tigers take on the Florida State Seminoles. Everyone had their Clemson gear on and was cheering hard for the Tigers. It was such a great game, and lucky the Tigers came away with a Win. Clemson is 3-0 in the season :)

Vince says that Danilo is his lucky charm since Clemson is 3-0 to the season and Danilo has been by his side every game so far. When Vince would go crazy when Clemson scored Danilo would start to coo, it was really cute.

This is the first year Dario would try this rope, and he did awesome!

We look forward to Cox Farm every year! It was the first weekend the farm was open so we headed there early this morning and ran towards the slides and hayride, which usually get very crowded. Of course since there were no lines in the morning we went on the slides over and over again, and let me tell you there are some big hills to climb to get to the slides. We enjoyed the smells of the apple ciders, kettle corn, pies, cinnamon, etc. We had a little over 2 hours of fun, and excitement before it started to rain a little. Dario was getting really tired so we headed towards the exit but inquired about a rain check, and they gave it to us! Free passes for any weekend! Wow, so we will be heading back again this fall for even more fun at Cox Farm!

Shopping

One of Dario's favorite things to do is to go food shopping. Every weekend Dario and I make a Costco run and a Wegman's run. It is our time together, the other two boys stay home. Dario gets so excited to ride in the shopping cart, and loves to pick out the food that we are going to eat for the week. Here is Dario getting ready for our Costco run.

Apple Picking

I show Dario everyday Charlie and Sam's blog and he enjoys seeing what they do. The other day Charlie and Sam went apple picking and Dario asked if we could go do that. We have plans the next three weekends so I figure this weekend was perfect and it was a beautiful day to go pick some apples. We headed out to Stribling Orchard to pick Red Delicious, Gold Delicious, Macintosh, and Grimes Golden. We had fun finding good apples to pick, while Danilo slept the entire time. When we got in the car to head home Dario asked me to make him an apple pie, while I am going to try.

Dario received this custom for his birthday but didn't show much interest in it then. A few days ago Dario discovered it in his closet and asked to put it on. Now it is hard to get it off of him. He puts it on and all you here as he runs towards you is, "I'm Optimus Prime!"

Smiles

Danilo LOVES to smile. It was wonderful to come home from work yesterday and have this little guy smile as soon as he saw me. Do you know who he smiles the most for? Dario of course! Danilo loves smiling at Dario so much so that when Danilo is being fussy we send Dario over to him, and right away Danilo starts to smile.

West is Best!

For the past 10 years that I have known Vince he tells me, "West is Best!" West is the elementary school that Vince went to when he was younger. Vince saved his old t-shirt and now has handed it down to Dario to wear, just to remind us AGAIN, that West is Best. I don't know who was more excited when Dario put this t-shirt one. Was it Vince or Dario? Dario is really excited this morning as he is heading to the Pre-School II room today, I hope they are ready for him!

Thank You Nanny!

Nanny came to help us all out this past week as Mommy headed back to work and Danilo started daycare. Nanny was wonderful, and helped us out so much. Every night she made a great dinner! She spent so much time playing Dario and Danilo. We can't thank you enough Nanny!

3 months old!

Danilo turned three months yesterday. Where is the time going? We tried out the Bumbo chair, and Danilo loved it! Danilo is changing so much theses days, and has so much personality.

Yesterday morning was crazy and full of check lists. I was heading back to work for the first time since May, and luckily I will transition into work as the students don't come back for another week. Danilo also had his first day of daycare, and Dario had his last week of summer camp. I had the task of getting myself, Danilo, and Dario out the door by 7am and the two boys to two separate daycares. I had the following check list before I headed out the door:

My backpack for work and laptop, check

My lunch bag, check

My pump bag, check

Danilo's diaper bag(this had it's own checklist as well), check

Danilo's cooler with five large bottles, check

Dario's lunch box, check

Dario's new clean sheets and blanket for nap time, check

It was rough getting out the door but we did it, and everyone was pleasant!

Growing so Fast

Dario asked if Danilo could watch Curious George with him today. So, the two boys say in our bed watching an episode. Danilo is changing every day and getting so big, and has such great expressions.

Baking

We have not baked in a while but today we decided to make a homemade chocolate cake, http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/fabulous-fudge-chocolate-cake/detail.aspx We really enjoyed baking again but of course the best part was eating the batter!
