Back At It

The university put down ice last week at the area and hockey was ready to start. Dario is excited for another season of hockey. This year we joined a league and he is registered as an United States Hockey player. We were all nervous to see how he would do or what he would remembered since the area has been closed since the end of Match. He suited up in all his gear and headed out at 9:30 to skate around for 30 minutes. He was doing a great job. Then he joined a clinic and skated for another 90 minutes doing drills and then playing a mini game. He had a smile from ear to ear the entire time. We are so glad he has found an activity that he enjoys, and we are thrilled it makes him exhausted! 

Splash Pad

We headed to the Splash Pad on a hot day! It was nice and not grounded for a little bit and had a very nice playground to play in. We enjoyed the ride on the country roads and the splash pad. 

Caramel Apple

Danilo tried his first caramel apple. He tried for a long time to take a bite out of the apple instead of eating all the caramel and sprinkles. He enjoyed the experience!

Botherly Love

Dario and Danilo love to pick on each other and at times they do not get along. The other day from the kitchen I hear this conversation:

Danilo, " Dario can you cover me up?"

Dario," Sure, big blanket or little?"

Danilo, " Big, cover my feet!"

Dario, " Ok, all covered up, need anything else?"

Danilo, " Thanks, love you Dario"

Dario, " I love you too, I want a hug!"

Moments like these are rare for these two but so cute to hear from afar! 

ALS Ice bucket challenge

Dario was nominated by his friend Mason to do the Ice Bucket Challenge. He took the challenge and nominated his cousin Charlie Madonia. 

Fun at the Lake

Children's Museum

We spent some time at the Children's Museum. Dario has fun playing Minecraft using a banana as a conductor and tin foil as arrows. We all enjoyed building, seeing robots, and controlling robots. 

First Grade!

Dario started First grade Tuesday 

Aug 19,2014. He was so excited to head back to school and had a great first day. Dario is 6 years old and 4 months. Still loves the color orange, playing hockey, eating mushroom pizza, and playing Legos. He is growing up so fast!

Build and Grow

Lowes has every other week a build and grow program where you get to build something and warn a patch for completion. We met up with the boys cousins, Cassium and Greyson and had fun!

Fair Time

We headed to the fair and had lots of fun.  Dario was brave and went on a few big kids rides and Danilo was so happy with little kids rides. All had lemonade and were thrilled.

Danilo and Ice Cream

Danilo seems to always make ice cream a mess! He insists it be a vanilla cone and reminds you several times no sprinkles. He is so different from his mother who hates vanilla and gets a chocolate cone with chocolate sprinkles. 

Camp project

Dario was in a camp for two weeks and he learned about about the solar system. Their final project was to make a design the planets and Sun. He did a great job!
