Happy Father's Day

We are very grateful to have a wonderful man in our lives each and every day! He is loving, caring, funny, and hard working. I am thankful to have a wonderful husband and amazing father to my two boys!

Danilo just had to try on Dario's goggles, even though he usually does not go in the pool. Such a different kid from last summer. He likes to walk around the pool and fill his bucket and watering can with water. Once he asked to be in the water! But, he looks so funny in this picture.

National's Game

Dario went to his first Nationals game! The Nationals were playing the Mets, so it was perfect. Dario headed to the game wearing his Mets shirt and Vince wearing his National shirt. Dario had a great time at the game. He brought his mitt, eat some cotton candy, and had sone good laughs with Vince!  Some how though, Dario came hone wearing a Nationals shirt, hmmm.....wonder how that happened?

Memorial Day

Remembering

Yesterday the whole family headed to the WWII memorial. We met up with cousin Monica and cousin Curtis at the ceremony. I think people often forget why we have Memorial Day. It is not the kick off to summer, or pool openings. It is a day to honor all those people that made the ultimate sacrifice. It was a beautiful day to honor all those soldiers. 

Viva Vienna

We all headed to Vienna for a street fair. We rode lots of rides, and had some good food. As you can see below Dario had cotton candy for the first time and ate every last bite of it!!

Ice cream time

The weather is getting warm and it is ice cream season! Dario has a love for ice cream as much as I do and Danilo is following behind us. 

Running friend

I got up early for a run, and Danilo happened to be up as well. So the two of us went for a early morning, rainy run! 

Fountain Time

We headed to the fountain yesterday because my school was having a dinner at Potbelly's. I was a little nervous that Danilo would had the water in the face, but he surprised me! The boys loved the fountain and Dario jumped right in. Danilo took some time to slowly get closer in the middle, but after he got soaked he loved it!!!

Muffins with Mom

My a school hosted an event this morning, Muffins with Mom. So, I took Dario with me to work early this morning and before work we took part of the event. It was great to have this alone time with Dario. He asked a ton of questions, and was curious about a lot of things, especially why my students were coming up and hugging me. It was a great time!

Mother's Day

I had a perfect Mother's Day! Some moms like brunches, getting dressed up , etc, not me. I woke up to my favorite, chocolate chip pancakes with the boys. Then they took me on a hike to Great Falls National park. We ended our hike with a picnic lunch near the falls. Dario was so excited showing me all the food he packed and picked out at the store for our lunch. Dario and Danilo loved the mud puddles, throwing things in the water, and the falls. And my favorite was a gift Dario made me at school. We had a great time and it was just perfect for me!

Great Day

Dario had a perfect day at school and earned all his points. Since he filled his chart at home he was able to earn a prize. So proud of Dario!

I came home from work today and Dario has made me a card! What a cutie!

Feeding the Goose

Dario and Danilo asked to go feed ducks. So, we headed to the pond and we didn't find any ducks. We found one lonely goose. The goose was very happy to not share all the bread we brought.

It has been a long week and I finally found time to do a blog post. Still amazed everyday at how happy Dario is. He is such a fun loving kid.
